At the 19th annual Boston-area International Women's day celebration.

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day. While we can be proud of the significant progress already made, this day reminds us that much work lies ahead to achieve true gender equality.
On this day focus is put on empowering women, celebrating and recognizing women's political, economic and social achievements around the world!
In many parts of the world, women are more likely to never receive an education, live in poverty and suffer gender-based discrimination and violence.
Our hope at WEE is that women will maintain a central role in their communities, homes and country as a whole. WEE will continue to provide support to immigrant and refugee women from low income families, through projects and programs that empower them.
On this special day, WEE reaffirms its commitment to advocating, educating, protecting and promoting gender equality, empowerment and the advancement of underserved immigrant and refugee women.

Kind regards,
Gloria.

I believe that gender equality has won its way for this generation's current ideals. It is common knowledge nowadays, that we treat each other, regardless of gender, with the utmost respect. I'm really proud of what this civilization has achieved. We've come a long way from mistreating women, to treating them as equals. I'm really proud of our achievement and I believe that this is a huge step for mankind.
